At Mesekon, developing competence is for students and industry veterans alike

Two mechanical engineering students from Turku University of Applied Sciences have joined us for the summer.

Miina Vaittinen is completing her professional practical training during which she has developed her blueprint reading skills and become acquainted with areas such as quality management, documentation and marketing.

Niko Moisio is filling in for a foreman this summer. Niko began working on his engineering thesis at Mesekon in the spring and his topic is an investment in a welding collaborative robot (cobot) cell. The cell will arrive at Mesekon in June and Niko will be there to help receive it. The collaborative robot cell offers an efficient and streamlined package for pipe welding.

One of our veterans, Juha Sundell, strengthened his own and Mesekon’s expertise by completing the FROSIO INSPECTOR LEVEL III coating inspector qualification in February. Juha already has more than three decades of expertise under his belt in the fabrication of demanding steel structures and an International Welding Engineer (IWO) degree from 2017. The FROSIO qualification further bolsters his competence.
